Autumn—overlooked my Knitting—
Dyes—said He—have I—
Could disparage a Flamingo—
Show Me them—said I—

Cochineal—I chose—for deeming
It resemble Thee—
And the little Border—Dusker—
For resembling Me—

This takes me back to 12th grade English in a big way. But what color is dusker? I must know in order to properly analyze this poem. And didn’t Emily wear white most of the time?

Dusker means darker so possibly refers to a darker shade of red or pink or just a dark color in general.
