Sheared Bliss

Catch Up

Last weekend (What happened to this past week?  I have absolutely no idea.) NurseK, her friend M, and I said “Hey, let’s go hiking!  In the cold!  And the rain!  Preferably in a place that’s flooding!”  Ok, so maybe it didn’t go exactly like that, but we did manage to find ourselves in the mountains on an unseasonably cold and rainy Sunday.  We spent the morning hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park.

After a picnic lunch, we headed back into town for the Estes Park Wool Market where we saw many cute critters.

There was also a lot of gorgeous fibery goodness – some of which made its way home with me.

That’s two Fabulous Fibers rovings from Susan’s Fiber Shop – Blue Faced Leicester in Cabbage Rose and Merino in Circus Parade.

Dinner at Dushanbe topped off an all around lovely day.

The cold and rain just make you appreciate the goodness of wool all the more! And it would have been sad to stay home. Although I went there wondering what Long’s Peak looks like and left the same way. 🙂
